Jonas Vs Truman


The Reason I compare the similarities and differences of Jonas and Truman is because they both have some thing in common. When I compare them I categorized the Clues, plot and Emotions. These subjects are the major things in Jonas Vs Truman.


In both the Truman show and the giver, both of the movie and the book they both give clues. In both Truman and Jonas’ world they both have a similar starting clue, like the plane going in the wrong area and for Truman the light falling from the sky. There are many more similarities in both of their community; the other ones are that the committee wants them to stay. In both world and dome they have climate control, they control when it rains, the sun comes up and goes down. When Jonas and Truman grew older they started to ask more questions, which is making Jonas’ community and Truman’s Director worried. They got curious and found out what the community was really doing. Both communities are lying to them and are hypocrites. Both Jonas and Truman choose to leave but they don’t know where their going.
The differences about the clues are that Truman gets more clues than Jonas. Also Jonas is allowed to go anywhere in the world he wants, but Truman is trapped in a dome. The Truman has vehicles unlike Jonas world. Jonas is younger than Truman. Truman also gets more clues, like the elevator incident and when he see his dad, that he thought is dead but really isn’t and when his wife crosses her finger in the wedding photo.

For emotions there weren’t many things to mention or compare, but there were a few. They both have to be happy all the time, even the people in both committees have to be happy. Jonas and Truman experienced love in their life.
For the differences Jonas is not allowed to have stirrings, nor is anyone in his community allowed to have stirrings. Unlike Jonas, Truman is allowed to have the stirrings, what I mean by stirrings is love, intercourse and feelings for other people.



The last comparison group is plot, what I mean by plot is that Plan to Leave and the area where they live. The similarities of the plot are that they are both trying to leave to leave, but there are many difficult obstacles or blocks. They don’t stop trying to leave, they keep going. They are both control by someone and they were both born and brought up different from our world.
The differences are that the both go through different blocks. Everyone knows that Truman is leaving but they don’t know that Jonas is leaving. Jonas Community is controlled by the elders, but Truman’s community is controlled by the technicians and Director.

So I basically told you the similarities and differences of Jonas and Truman. The other reason I compared them is because they are similar and different in both our world and theirs.

Jonas Relationship with The Giver and his Family??

Jonas has a greater relationship with the Giver than his family, because Jonas and the Giver share their feelings and memories together, unlike Jonas' family, it isn't even his real family only people he doesn't know. Here are some basic idea of why Jonas has a better relationship with the Giver than his family. The relationship with Giver: they share the same and different thoughts and feelings. They share memories about love and war, when they keep sharing memories their relationship is gets much better. Now the bad things about Jonas' family: Their not his real family. His angry with his family specifically his dad because they didn't tell him the truth about what they do and why they never told. There was a huge change of respect with his father when he found out that his father releases (kills) people.


Why is Jonas Community Hypocritical??

Jonas' community is hypocritical because they tell the committee not to lie but, they lie. They tell people they don't want death and pain, but they kill people when they do something wrong or if someone isn't normal ( if there twins, one has to die. If they get too old they die. etc. etc.)

Scary Setting!

It was a Stormy night, the thunder was like a bomb going off all the time. There in the maison in the middle of the forest. Almost all the trees were dead from last months Forest Fire. All the creatures looked scary because some of their skin was burned off.

My character's name is Ashley and she is 11 years old. She has long black hair, blue eyes and most boys think she is pretty. She lives in America, New york. She has 1 baby brother, named Jack. Her father is dead, but mother is alive.

How will blogging affect/change your writing? Why?

Blogging will affect/change your writing because you can save paper which saves the trees. It also will affect/change your writing because if you don't know how to spell a word, you can use spell check and it will automactily give the proper spelling of the word.
